<p>West Virginia deserves economic growth that benefits our communities—not growth that comes at the expense of our water, farmland, or local voice. I support responsible data center development, only with strong environmental safeguards, fair taxation, and transparency. Most importantly, I believe local communities should have a meaningful say in projects that affect their land, natural resources, and quality of life. Decisions that shape our future should be made by West Virginians, not for them. The following bills have been sponsored by Delegates Kayla Young and Evan Hansen to "put the power back in the hands of the people". The only way this legislation will pass is by flipping seats in November.</p><ul><li><p>HB 4509 - Restoring local control over data centers</p></li><li><p>HB 4822 - Redirecting data center tax revenue to healthcare, counties, and schools</p></li><li><p>HB 4832 - Protecting groundwater and streams from data center impacts</p></li><li><p>HB 4195 - Placing a two-year cap on electric rates</p></li></ul>

<p>West Virginia's future depends on the education we provide our children today. I believe every student deserves the opportunity to succeed through well-funded public schools, supported teachers, responsible use of taxpayer dollars, and accountability across all education options. My goal is to strengthen education while ensuring every child has access to a high-quality learning environment that prepares them for the future.</p>
